Must Read: I Fell In Love #ItChangedMyLife

High walls. Cold heart. Thick skin. Hard rocks. This was my life.
I felt a sharp pain striking right down my chest…it was meant to hurt less. I had been through this a thousand times; but it didn’t.

Must Read: I Watched Scandal #ItChangedMyLife

It was the year 2013, I’d gotten a new TV series from a friend, and it was supposed to be very interesting. I was skeptical, it was not my type. I preferred shows like Pysch, The Mentalist, The Big Bang Theory; they were heavily loaded with comedy. But hey, I had nothing else to watch so I opened the ‘Season 1’ folder, opened the first episode and like that I was thrust into the world of ‘Scandal’.

Imagine Being Proposed To Like This...In Our Time...:-)

Today is iconic actress Gloria Bamiloye's 52nd birthday! In celebration of her big day, her hubby, the popular Mike Bamiloye, shared the story of how he proposed to her....his story got me wondering what ladies of our time would do if they were proposed to the way he did..Read the story below,
The day I went to propose to her, I never beat about the bush or rehearsed any Love persuasive Poem. I never said anything like, "...the Lord sent me" or " I felt the Lord is leading me..." Or " I dreamed and saw..." Or "I heard a voice from Heaven that..." I had said some of those things before to some sisters whom I thought the Lord was leading me to, and I was wrong. This time around, I went to this new sister, after my usual "Much Prayers and Waiting". I was not even sure if the Lord was leading me or not again....My computers have been crashed and the memory virused by the previous disappointments I had met from the sisters I had thought were the will of God.
So I had arrived the campus and the brethren were happy to see me. I usually came at evening time, for Drama rehearsals or if there were drama outreaches, I would come to go with them or lead them to the programs. But this time, I came during the day, at lecture time and many of the brethren were coming to me to know why or what information I had brought for the Fellowship Drama Unit members. I simply said I came to see "Sister Shola".

Today's kids are so spoilt that they don't know that in our days you could be beaten for any of the following reasons:

1. Crying after being beaten.
2. Not crying after being beaten
3. Crying without being beaten
4. Standing while the elders are seated
5. Sitting while the elders stand
6. Walking around aimlessly where the elders are seated.
7. Replying back to an elder
8. Not replying back to an elder

Project Smile :-)

A fourth grade teacher asks the class, “Have any of you ever saved somebody’s life?”
A little boy raises his hand, “Yes, my little nephew’s.”
“Wow, what a little hero you are! How did you do that, sweetie?” asks the teacher.
The little guy replies, “I hid my mum’s birth control pills!”....

The first drops of rain hit my face as I stepped out the car. I grabbed my navy-blue jacket from the backseat.

I looked at the small crowd of people gathered by the graveside, all dressed in black.

Gloria did not deserve the blackness. She had a colourful life, the least we could do was give her a colourful funeral. I grabbed a handkerchief from the car, I promised myself to be calm but I did not trust that promise. I took a deep breath and walked towards my final goodbye.

I stepped harder on the accelerator as I moved through the light traffic. I was blessed that this was not one of the days when there was ‘bumper to bumper’ traffic. I was just two minutes from the hospital, but I wished I could somehow do the minutes in seconds. Two minutes was too long to wait to see Gloria.

I opened my eyes that morning and immediately wished I did not have to leave the bed. It was not the first time I had woken up this way. And it started two months ago when Gloria broke up with me. I thought my mind was prepared for the break up after what I did but it wasn’t at all.
I stumbled through my daily activities for about two weeks before I finally decided I had to move on. And move on, I did. Or so I thought.

I grabbed the edge of the seat as the plane bumped onto the tarmac. I peeped out of the window and my heart fluttered.

Somewhere in the airport, Gloria was waiting for me but I was not sure what to expect. We did not break up when I went to Finland but the relationship was not exactly a smooth one. Sometimes I felt like it was better if she broke up with me, I hated the uncertainty.

The plane stopped and I stood to grab my bag.

Missing Gloria’s award dinner – or rather almost missing it was the wake-up call I needed.

It was true that I was enjoying working with Inka and her team but if it meant losing Gloria, I had to rethink it all. I could still lose Gloria if she really meant what she said about long distance relationships but it won’t be my fault. I knew I had to do something, I had to show Gloria I was all in.

So that Saturday morning I called my boss.

Dear Kike,

I remember I wrote about one of my admirers who overstepped his bounds on my first visit to his house. It turns out that his immediate sister is getting married really soon. He’s been decorating the social media with BEAUTIFUL pictures of his beloved sister and her equally handsome Boo.

Hehehe! Tweet Of The Day!

It was already one month since that day when I asked Gloria to be my girlfriend. She said yes but not before she had toyed with me. I had honestly feared she was going to say no and now I feared she would be wishing she had. Our relationship was not going well and I was to blame.

Dear Kike,

I don’t have a lot to say today.... I am trying to save time but still drop something in this space.

A friend of mine has told me like 100 times within the space of two weeks, to make sure I start keeping a journal- I agree with her. I know that I am about to step into some of the most interesting days yet. There would so many things worthy of being put in writing. I should probably document my journey with Jesus. It’s been beautiful so far, but I am convinced that there are endless things that the Holy Spirit still wants t teach me. I should write them down, maybe it  would help someone else. I mean, imagine if Brother Paul didn’t write all those letters to all those churches and individuals.

Our second date – or our first proper date actually, was going to be great. I had it all planned out. There was this cosy little restaurant a few kilometres from the city, it was the perfect place. The only reason I knew about it was because Molade had asked me to take her there once. I went to the place and scoped it out, found out it was very expensive. I cooked up some excuse and ditched Molade. Now I was glad she introduced me to the place.

Meek Mill Finally Responds To Drake With His Own Diss Track (Listen To It)

I'm sure you all know the drama going on between Drake, Meek Mill and Nicki Minaj. Meek has finally dropped his own diss track. Check out how The Verge is reporting it below,

Over a week after Meek Mill first called out Drake for allegedly having a ghostwriter, the Philly rapper has responded with his own diss record, "Wanna Know". The track follows two records from Drake — "Charged Up" and "Back to Back Freestyle" — that put Meek's back against the wall. Everyone expected a response from Meek Mill earlier this week on Hot 97 DJ Funkmaster Flex's show that never transpired. Meek Mill and his team began dropping hints this afternoon (yesterday) that the track would finally be released tonight, and on Flex's show no less. Now that Meek has responded, the biggest beef in hip hop is in full swing.
Drake will surely respond with his own record in the next few days, but Meek is in the game now, and this battle is just getting started. Is "Wanna Know" good enough to dig Meek Mill out of the 2-0 hole he's up against? Can Meek Mill really win a battle against Drake? And more importantly, what does Nicki Minaj think of all this?

Fayose Claims He Was Once A Danfo Driver; Nigerians Blast Him! (See Comments)

While speaking yesterday at the swearing-in of new state executive members of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, Fayose mentioned that he was once a "danfo driver". In his words,
“Please, I want to commend you for contributing immensely to the development of the state’s economy, but don’t allow yourselves to be used by evil doers. You can see that some kidnappers were paraded recently. Information from them revealed that they have been using some of your members.
“I was once a driver like you. I used the money I got from driving to sponsor myself for HND at Ibadan Polytechnic, but I did not get desperate. All I’m saying is that being a driver you can make it in life. You will become what you want to become in life with hard work. Don’t join evil gang for you to get rich overnight, try and rise through the ladder like we did.”
“Though I am part of you, if you breach the law, I won’t save or spare you. You will be arrested and prosecuted by the security agents,”
Trust Nigerians to blast him. Read some of their comments below,
