You hear things like; “ I don’t get along with women,” “ I prefer being friends with males than females ,” or “ I don’t have female friends because they’re too much drama .”
A lady walks into a room and some other ladies in the room start to hate for no reason. They make rude remarks, give icy stares that would make the newcomer almost bury herself if she has no self-confidence.
Often times, there is that one woman who immediately turns into an ice queen upon the very sight of you, despite you having done absolutely nothing to wrong her in any way.
Unlike men, women will often dislike another woman for no logical reason at all. The female folks are quick to judge one another and they are less likely to become friends with someone who could be perceived as a sexual rival.
I saw this on Vanguard. What advice would you give her? Read below,
From time to time, I spend the holidays with my mum’s elder sister and I used to get on well with my cousins. But early last year, I woke to feel the hand of my eldest cousin under my nightie.
I was so frightened though curious that I pretended to still be sleeping. After this, he tried to have full sex with me, but I pushed him off. Then he started being very nice to me, introducing me to his friends and giving me presents. I was having such a good time that when next he came to the guest room, I let him have sex with me. He now thinks he could do that any time he wants but I’ve told him to stop.
Recently, he’s been forcing me to have sex with him whether I like it or not. I enjoy the sex but I’m only 16 and he is my first cousin. How do I make him stop?
This is not a Nigerian man-bashing article.
My father and brother are Nigerian. My husband most likely will be Nigerian too. I really love Nigerian men, but I think they are sort of a ‘special breed’. Why? There are so many negative traits and behaviours that seem unique to our countrymen.
I’ve reflected on them and I think a lot of it has to do with how we raise our men. Because many Nigerians are ‘religious’, we raise our sons in a ‘do as I say, not as I do’ type of way. You might be telling your son one thing, but what he observes is another. The sins of the father (and mother) then become the sins of the son.
From impatience to infidelity, here are some of the ways I’ve noticed men are raised differently, and how they manifest in later life.
Is it just me that finds this really offensive, i don't understand how someone would not shave for a whole album cover! Ahan! lol. If the guy is flashing his armpit hair for the song cover picture, it would be safe to assume that it was planned and he did it on purpose.....Does that mean some ladies find this attractive in some way??
My tickets are still very much available oh. Courtesy of Carmudi , we would be giving out 2 free tickets to the Lagos International Festival 2015 which kicks off tomorrow (You could read more about it here and here). So the best two captions for this picture wins the tickets....PLEASE caption this pic :-)
I have always wondered what the difference is between Nigeria's army men and the police. Looks like both of them could virtually do the same job or even be improvised for the other I have seen both the policemen and the armed forces fighting crime, collecting bribe, arresting people, standing at check points and so on. So where exactly do they draw the line? What's their job description or jurisdiction? It sounds to me like they are basically doing the same thing. Could someone throw more light on this? Thanks

It's officially a trend guys. It was Suleiman Hashimu, who started the whole thing. He decided to walk from Lagos to Abuja to honor the president-elect, in fulfillment to a promise he had earlier made. Suleiman was eventually honored by Buhari. Now others are copying him.
A certain, Abubakar Duduwale is currently on his way from Yola to Abuja, on foot, just to express his 'joy'
The newest to join the group is, Mohammed, a resident of Hayin Malam Bello in Rigasa district of Igabi local government area of Kaduna State. We are still not sure if the Chibok girls were part of those found yesterday. However, SaharaReporters can confirm, based on conversations with sources in the military High Command, that Nigerian troops indeed rescued up to 300 girls and women from Boko Haram camps in the Sambisa Forest.
One military source told SaharaReporters that all effort is being made to give the girls medical treatment and care before the military investigates their identities. Military sources cannot yet confirm whether any of the victims are the Chibok Girls.
Earlier yesterday Major General Olukolade stated that the Nigerian military destroyed at least three Boko Haram terrorist camps in a coordinated attack in the Sambisa Forest. Included in these three camps is the destruction of the Tokumbere camp, said to be Boko Haram’s most notorious camp.
My question now is, was there any other kidnapping of about 300 women by Boko Haram apart from the Chibok girls? If there was, how come nobody did anything about it or made it public information like they did with the Chibok Girls? I really don't get oh....if they are not the Chibok Girls, then who are they?

The Duchess of Cambridge, is four days overdue. She should have given birth to her second child over the weekend, but somehow she is past her due date. However, that did not stop her from being up and about. The Duchess was pictured this morning driving away from Buckingham Palace with 5 bodyguards, after taking her first child to the Queen's pool.
Meanwhile, since the beginning of April, some people have been camping outside the hospital she would most likely use to welcome her baby

Our very new decoder developed some fault few weeks back. We took it to DSTV office and they kept posting us, telling us to come the day after....and after...and on and on. We have eventually decided to dash them the decoder, since they obviously are not ready to fix it. DSTV services are really terrible
In a daring and precise operation the Nigerian troops have stormed the Sambisa Forest and rescued about 300 women and girls.
The PRNigeria gathered that at least three major terrorists camps have been destroyed in the well-cordinated attacks that include the destruction of the notorious Tokumbere camp in the Sambisa Forest.
While confirming the operation the Director Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade said he could not confirm the identity of the freed victims and their origins and he could not state if any of them was from Chibok until after thorough screening and proper investigations.
“I can only confirm the rescued this afternoon of 200 girls and 93 women in different camps in the forest. We are yet to determine their origin as all the freed persons are now being screened and profiled. Please don’t misquote me on their origin. We will provide more details later.”

Title: "The Issues"
In this part of the world, people are afraid to talk about the issues behind the important issues. Let me give an example; it is easy for parents to warn their sons not get any girl pregnant- they even back it up with threats and all (“I wih disown you!” or “I wih Kih you with my own bare hands!). Or they’ll tell a 14 year old girl something like, “See ehn, Tawa, you are a woman now, if man toush ya hand, na bele you go carry! ” All these sick stuff... But they find it hard to talk about the real issues- sex, in this case. I know we are a culture that believes that certain things aren’t spoken about, and it’s probably good, maybe it helps to keep the morality quotient very high. The problem is... If the “issues” aren’t talked about, there are many people who are more than willing to feed people’s heads with trash, so why not find a way to pass across helpful and healthy information?
Please help me post this, I need opinions. My son is almost two years old and I'm having another baby at the end of this year in the US. My family is in Nigeria and my husband may not be able to come because of work. I will need help with the kids when I travel so we already plan that I will go with my househelp to work as my nanny.
They brought her for me from the village and staying with me is her first time in Lagos. I'm about to get her passport and apply for her visa but I was randomly chatting with my former classmate who's also a good friend two days ago and I mentioned my itinerary to her and how I needed to go to immigration office and get the passport. Later that day she sent me a text and asked if she could go with me instead of my maid. She said she has experience with children and she understands that her role will be as my nanny and not friend.
I really want to say yes as I won't lose anything, I will have to do her passport and visa but I am already planning to do for my maid. But the question is is it really advisable? I asked my husband and he said that the choice is mine. What do you think is wiser and if I have to tell my friend no, how should I say it? Please help me out here, should I just go with my maid whom I know I can give orders when it is necessary or agree to take my friend along?
On the 7th of April, Nollywood actor Yul Edochie took to twitter to tell the world about a gay man who is stalking him. His name is Steven Ugochukwu Nelson Onyebuchi. Now Steven has been sending all types of messages saying Yul is lying and the actor is actually gay. Steven shared some supposed ‘evidence’ on instagram to make his point....It's a whole lot of drama, personally i think the Steven guy is trying too much to prove a point, that's if there is any point in what he is saying at all. In one of his post he wrote,
“We were in a relationship, had issues caused by him. Warned him not to play silly games with me or I use all I v n soil his name. He didn’t know I was recording all our discussions including the ones he called me n the ones I called. He took on Twitter April 8 and accused me of forcing him to be gay, looking for police to get hold of me. All I did that day was to play our love discussion to my peeps. Show them our chat histories. All this came to him as a shock”See what Yul posted initially and Steven's reaction after the cut
In 2013, SaharaReporters reported that the first lady has a multi-billion naira hotel, called Aridolf Resort Wellness Centre & Spa , However it seems not many people considered the report true. Fast forward to 2015 and international news site, Financial Times, is confirming SaharaReporters' report in a new article posted in the 21st of this month. Part of the article reads,
Today, Yenagoa is a sprawling construction site. But the Aridolf, which is owned by Patience Jonathan, wife of the outgoing president, is symptomatic of how superficial progress has been in addressing the festering sense of marginalisation in the region, which remains desperately impoverished despite benefiting from a tide of petrodollars in recent years.See more pics of the massive place after the cut

I was at a friend's place recently. And i realized that, in their house....you don't wear shoes in. And when you get in you would find out that they also don't wear slippers. Unlike my house where you where slippers to any and everywhere, for theirs, you pull you shoes/slippers in front of the house and you walk bare footed to every part of the house....even to have your bath! That was a bit strange to me. What's your take guys? It's a house and you are supposed to keep the dirt away...so yes! people should pull their shoes at the entrance. OR i wipe my shoe on the footmat and get in....afterall whether i go in with my shoes or not...the house would still be dirty....what say you?
